Proof That Tom Hanks is a THIEF
Tom Hanks has a reputation for being the most wonderful guy ever, so Jimmy dared him to steal a cardboard cutout of himself from a souvenir shop next door to us on Hollywood Blvd. Tom is the best so of course he did not disappoint.
And of course I added some stills from the interview to our gallery!

When it comes to Pixar’s Toy Story 4, Woody’s catchphrase couldn’t be more perfect: “Reach for the sky!”
The person who believes in that motto for the upcoming movie is none other than Tom Hanks, who voices the beloved cowboy toy. For the Oscar-winning star, he feels Toy Story 4 is up-to-par with the original three animated films. Speaking to E! News with the ensemble cast, the 62-year-old actor shares what fans can expect from the Pixar movie.
“What my kids want to know is ‘Really, they’re gonna try to equal, much less top the movie that came before… you sure about this, dad,'” Hanks explains of his kids’ initial thoughts about the fourth installment of the franchise. “From what I’ve seen, yeah. We’re gonna go after it.”
After making his statement, co-stars Tim Allen, Annie Potts, Christina Hendricks, Tony Hale and Keanu Reeves all nod in agreement.
For newcomers Reeves, Hendricks and Hale, they say the experience on Toy Story 4 has been nothing but “amazing.”
The Veep actor jokes about what it was like joining the team. “There was a whole initiation process.” Chiming in, the Good Girls star quips, “I was kidnapped in the middle of the night. I was taken in a van.”
“It’s dark, it’s dark,” Hale says.
For Keanu, he explains how much fun it was to be part of the Pixar film. “I had a wonderful character. For me, it’s really great to be here. I got to watch the film and hear the performances that were really so special.”
However, Allen points out his performance of Buzz Lightyear has become so well-known that it “confuses” children when they hear him speak.
“My little one’s 10 now, and she just doesn’t understand that dad is Buzz Lightyear. It’s very confusing for children,” he shares. “It looks like I ate Buzz Lightyear because I’ll talk in his voice and they’ll go, ‘That ugly man ate Buzz Lightyear.'”
In fact, he recalls the one time a kid said that to him. “I actually had it happen in an elevator. A lady says do ‘The infinity thing’ [because her] kid was misbehaving, and I did ‘To infinity and beyond,’ and the kid screamed out loud ‘That ugly man ate Buzz Lightyear,’ so you don’t want to do the voices around children. It is confusing for the young ones, but my kids love it.”
The upcoming Pixar film is set to hit theaters on June 20. To see the cast talk about Toy Story 4, watch our interview above!
Last night the cast & crew of Toy Story 4 came out to celebrate the premiere of their new film! I have added a bunch of images to our gallery for you to enjoy! I especially love the ones of Tom with Woody! They asked Tom how he is similiar to Woody and he responded with, “I am a team player. I love being part of an ensemble, and I think we are always in this together somehow,” he said, adding, “Anybody can make it a miserable day by being cranky or self-centered or thinking that it’s all about them instead of all about the whole.”
At last night’s premiere of Toy Story Tom reflected on his film Forrest Gump with ET Online.
With the 25th anniversary of Forrest Gump’s release just around the corner, Tom Hanks is reflecting on what it was like filming the ambitious, widely beloved pop culture milestone.
The celebrated star walked the red carpet at the premiere of Toy Story 4 in Hollywood on Tuesday, and he opened up to ET’s Matt Cohen about his memories from the set of the acclaimed dramedy.
“We wondered what we were doing and we wondered if it was all going to make any sense,” Hanks said, with a laugh.
The project, which tells the story of a simple but good-hearted man who, through luck, fate and circumstance had an enormous impact on the world around him, was one of the most ambitious films of its time. Hanks earned his second Oscar for his role, and the film took home an additional five Oscars, including Best Picture.
“Any movie that you’re making requires two things,” Hanks shared. “One, a huge leap of faith in the alliance you’ve made with everybody else who’s making the movie, and also trust in the process, and that if you love it and you do your due diligence, and you never let go of the potential that it could be made, it will all work out.”
“That fact is, that was a magnificent movie and a surprise,” he added.
As for his latest film, Toy Story 4, Hanks joked about the connection between the plot of the film, which concerns lost toys, and his own penchant for taking photos of lost and abandoned items — like mittens, gloves and shoes — and posting them to his Twitter feed.
“When you see a movie that’s called Gloves, and it’s just a movie about talking gloves, you know I’ll be suing someone for the copyright on that,” Hanks joked.
However, while photographing lost items of clothing has been a staple of his Twitter feed for some time, the actor said he’d feel a little different if he saw a toy lying abandoned on the side of the road, admitting, “I would be crushed if I was to take a picture of a lost toy.”
After starring in four installments in the beloved Disney-Pixar franchise, it’s understandable why Hanks might have an affinity for toys.
The actor once again reprises his role as the iconic Sheriff Woody in Toy Story 4, which comes out June 21.
I LOVE THIS! Tom & Tim joined the Walt Disney Company on their annual Disney Toy Delivery to Advent Health for Children in Orlando.
This weekend, actors Tim Allen and Tom Hanks helped The Walt Disney Company kick off its annual Disney Toy Delivery—a part of the Disney Team of Heroes philanthropic initiative—at AdventHealth for Children in Orlando, Florida. During the special visit, Allen and Hanks, who, respectively, lend their voices to Buzz Lightyear and Woody in the upcoming film Toy Story 4, distributed toys to kids and families and helped bring joy to patients, who also enjoyed photo opportunities with Toy Story characters during the event.
Every year, The Walt Disney Company delivers to children’s hospitals a pallet’s worth of toys, games, books and comics that they are able to share throughout the year with their patients. The items that are included in the toy deliveries are specifically selected to be the most beneficial in helping promote normalcy, reduce stress and inspire play during what can be a difficult time for children. This year’s toy deliveries, which continue a nearly 15-year tradition for Disney, will include new products from Toy Story 4 (set to open in theaters on June 21).
“The Toy Story films celebrate the importance of toys in a child’s life—they are a source of comfort, joy and consistent companionship,” said Elissa Margolis, senior vice president, Enterprise Social Responsibility for The Walt Disney Company. “By delivering toys to children’s hospitals across the country we hope to raise the spirits of children facing serious illness and make their hospital stay a bit more comfortable.”
More than $3 million in Disney products will be delivered to 450 children’s hospitals in the U.S. and Canada this year as part of the Disney Toy Delivery program, with the help of the Association of Child Life Professionals and Starlight Children’s Foundation.
The toy deliveries and the special visit to AdventHealth for Children by cast and characters from Toy Story 4 are all part of Disney Team of Heroes, the Company’s philanthropic initiative focused on reimagining the patient and family experience in children’s hospitals across the globe. The initiative launched in March 2018 with Disney Chairman and CEO Bob Iger’s announcement of a five-year, $100 million commitment to support children’s hospitals around the world. In April of this year at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas, Disney launched a pilot of new experiences—each of which has been designed to provide comfort and inspiration for patients and their families. Plans are underway to roll out the innovative program to hospitals in the U.S. and internationally.
